Insiders and MMs are the first to know about pending NRs. The sudden increase in volume and rise in SP could mean that news is conming. Of course the previously established time frame for merger finalization was to be the end of january so in reality everyone already knows. The question is, will they meet that time frame?
Buying pressure will likely continue 'for a reasonable time frame' awaiting the announcement. If that announcement does not come in a timely manner we will fall even quicker than we rose.
