#19056 RE: juanly #19052

juanly, there are many forms of scams. Many indeed do involve tangible things, or as you put it, things that are real, to recieve money.

For instance, I've seen an instance where First Aid Kit/Medical Supplies were used in a scam.

A company would get a contact name from a location, and then ship $20 worth of First Aid stuff (bandaids, neosporine, asparin etc) to the location, and then send an invoice with a PO # and reference name to Accounts Payable for $200 in the hopes that a small % of the AP people would recognize the name on the invoice and just pay it.

By your criteria this is not a scam? Because it used something that was real in order to receive $$?

The "It can't be a scam - they have real products and real business" is pretty tired. All pink sheets scams have something real, just not as valuable as it's made out to be.
