It's not to appease those shareholders. It's to save the money associated with producing/mailing all the crap ASR has to send out to shareholders.

I see this quite positively. It is an indication of a serious, ongoing operation, not one merely consumed with putting out fires and fighting for survival. It means they are planning on sending out lots of data to us and want to save money in the process. It is just sensible management of costs. That is a large number of tiny, tiny shareholdings.

They could accomplish this as well be a large reverse stock split, but in a tip o' the hat to Bugs, they are using an alternative method.:>)
