What would be so difficult about landing on a moving ship? If both ship and strat are moving in the same direction at the same speed, I would think that a dropped rope from the strat to a waiting Deck hand abord the ship would make the landing child's plan. When I was a young teenage boy we would move back and forth from moving cars without stopping.
