I agree with you. Why would they not want to have as many eyes on this as possible. They release updates/news in Panama, (that is public correct)?

With that being said, why would it be OK for them to discuss the happenings of the company there but not throughout the rest of the world?

There seems to be a concern they may have if they were to do this. Hmmmmmm.......what could that be?
