#13357 RE: Artguy #13353

Kudos Artguy. Good post. I have been lurking myself for some time now as I am of the feeling that Torvec is just so close on so many different fronts right now. I find it hilarious that people are getting upset that Torvec appointed Cliff Carlson and signed a 5% licensing deal for a whole engine (5% on the engine, not the price of our part). Its just another deal, another instance of how Torvec technologies make other technologies and ideas work better or even at all. And the China thing with Chery kills me too. Torvec, with CXO on the no, was at one point in discussions with a small subsidiary of Chery, they were never at very high a level. Those chinese companies constantly restructure and reorganize. Every critic wants to lump China together as one deal they have been lied about to for years. Guess what, there are a few billion people in that country and quite a few automotive firms. The term "china deal" is thus confusing and idiotic. I am happy Jim and Keith aren't jumping at some of these penny deals different chinese firms have thrown at Torvec. Maybe some penny pinching accountants feel otherwise. If so I assume your lawyer will be of the same breed and you can settle your class action suit for coffee and donuts for a year (1 cup per person, but the donut you share. Cliff is going to be of immense help bringing the IVT to fruition, and thats something everyone feels is a huge feather in the Torvec cap. The CV joint is moving forward nicely to commercialization through Lockheed and the engine (among other things), The IVT has a great path forward now, the differential has the most immediate possibilities for commercialization, and the FTV will eventually attract the eyes of a large cab-over truck manufacturer. Frankly, I would have liked to hear about the diff in the last update, but think that piece of technology is on the verge of something very significant happening and I see it happening soon. I think Jim just wanted to let us know what else was going on. How any of it was bad is beyong me. Merry Christmas everyone, and may the new year bring you all great fortune.

I think there are plenty of us who think as you do and read but do not post often on this site. We are long term investors who continue to beleive progress is being made and if you can't stomach the wait, sell and get out. The negativity of a few is tiresome...

Thank you for this post, Artguy. I could not have said it better.

I am still confused as to what the negativity and insulting is all about. I had lurked and then posted here and there (another board) for quite some time, and it still seems odd that anyone would want to play these games in such a company. Here we have a very high end engineering company with a pretty intense history and IP portfolio and some just want to go back to their days of being rejected on the playground. It is just odd to me.

If there are issues with the way the company is run, be a part of the solution and don't stand on the sidelines and point and laugh. Find a way to help and solve the problem, if it is a problem. And if you can't do that, then simply walk away. It is your money at stake...or, um, is it...?

I look forward to the shareholders meeting and I sure do hope everyone there has the class to reveal their "behind the windshield names" and debate like humans with fact and emotion properly balanced in the vein of those who view their OWN brains as IP!

(And just so there are no acronym confusions, that's Intellectual Property - not Internet Protocol or the Iberian Peninsula...)
