Good post MBoomer, but one point I disagree with:

"""As far as the "incident" on opening night, who cares, I for one would be trying to capitalize on this, even bad news is good exposure for business. Clearly, H3 does not want to go this route. This is not what they want the HHSS to be about. (Although I could just see a stream of 18 year old white kids lining up to get inside in hopes of catching a glimpse of some "gangsta rapper" stand off). With any genre comes both the good and the bad. I'm sure that at some point in the Hard Rock Cafe's history, some hair band got loaded and fought some patrons or smashed some chit in the restaurant. These things happen...""

not really a valid comparison.......I'm sure there are some wild Rock and Rollers, but most other musical styles, even heavy head-thrashing metal, isn't so laser focused on violence, murder, robbery, exploitation of women, competitive gang culture, etc, as hip hop......these themes are deeply embedded in the culture of the artists, for better or worse....I'm not going to get into a free speech debate here, they certainly have the right.....my problem comes with someone touting such musical expression as HEALTHY.....and that somehow it will EMPOWER the community, and YOUNG INVESTORS.....

also, if you've been around, you would remember the FREE MAX B thing H3 had on their web site in the past.....supposedly this was a rogue element.....why don't you tell me why Max B was on the VIP guest list if this is the case????.....BTW, it was fellow Dipset member J Jones who was involved in that altercation.....IMO, time for the Co to cut ALL TIES to the "ganstas", if they want to look professionally run.....bad call having people like this at your opening night.....

like I said, lets cut the BS out, this isn't about health, community empowerment, etc......that's just rhetoric by the Doctor of Divinity...hip hop is what it is, no mater how the good Dr would like to sugar coat it and pretend otherwise....but at least don't associate with known members of the hip hop community who go against what Dr Ben preaches, or its kind of hypocritical of him......

PS: I read from one poster that the CC machine was broken, only taking CASH......is that still the case, as if so, it would be a red flag, IMO....
