SP1 applies to all versions, I believe. But you have to go look for it. It's an RC, not a bona fide update yet.
Although I do wish to opine here:
MSFT really screwed up with all these stupid versions of Vista. Vista is really not to blame, MSFT is. I could have done a better job marketing this OS than those pinheads. Why? Because I use stuff everyday. I like to make stuff work for a lot of people, and make it as painless as possible.
They should have offered one version- say, Ultimate- and left it at that. People hate different versions of an OS. Knock the price down a hundred bucks or so, and boom, you have market saturation.
Better yet, flood the media right now with "Vista: $149" or something like that, and it's a done deal.
I love this OS. But MSFT really kills me with their stupidity. I have yet to figure out why they don't hire me for $500K a year to sell their stuff. Go figger. I would SO kick the asses out of everyone in their marketing department right now.
It's a good OS. It really is. It just needs some lovin'.
