Yes Sand, it will all depend on how clear the money trail is. If any of the money proven to be gained illegally can be traced to the perchase of a specific property, in my opinion it is recoverable.
A lien against property in a civil action is also effective to the extent that the property can not be sold or altered until the lien is cleared. However I cannot speak for Canadian law in this case.
I believe it will be some time before enough is known for any of these actions to be considered. As I'm sure you know these types of legal actions can take years.
