One other question I asked him - did he think Congress was turning their head as to the magnitude of the Naked Shorting issue, and he responded that Congress has much larger things to concentrate on such as the War in Iraq. In other words, he did not view the naked short selling as a big problem. I even cited the facts the Senator put forward about shares of a defunct company still being traded - he seemed unconcerned. What an eye opener today!
Mt, unfortunately I've emailed all the members of my congress with no reply. When I had an opportunity to speak with one of my senators...My question was politely ignored and I was asked if I was enjoying my steak. I didn't press it, since it wasn't the duck she was eating. Politics are not the issue here. imo
