Motherboard still outside the case

Bottom of the CPU heatsink showing the factory installed thermal grease and the 4 plunge locks that secure it to the motherboard.


Line up the fan wire with the motherboard CPU Fan pins. Carefully set the plunge locks in the holes and press them through, doing opposite corners, two at a time. The CPU booklet shows you how.


Next, plug the fan wire plug into the motherboard CPU Fan Controller pins. Note the chunky firefighter fingers I talked about earlier.



Dominator RAM! It don't get much better than this. Notice that the sockets have keys and the RAM has slots. They only go in there one way. Open the latches and carefully line up the keys with the slots then firmly press them in. The latches automatically latch when the RAM hits bottom.

Bruce,
at 6-2, 250 I know what you mean about handsize. Hence...found a good use for the old forceps roach clip(long out of use)...used gently of course and with some electrical tape wrapped on the tongs.
