i have had to wait a day last time a symbol change occurred with my scottrade account the ticker was frozen for the entire day

i really think cause they are a discount broker they stall it and last time i called and asked what i could do to have my shares restricted so they can't be loaned out they told me that i cant because i have a margin account. i never really followed it up to check again or ever asked to have certs sent to me.
