Roger that, jimmybob. It may happen once in a blue moon, which is great, but that's far from the norm. If it were a sufficient cause (i.e. if A is performed, E WILL occur), then it would be good advice to just plunk money on every stock on the name/symbol change list.
There are a lot of factors in play. Stocks run for a variety of reasons - this one ran from these levels to five cents, but it wasn't a short squeeze. The MMs have known about the possible name change for a while now, just like the rest of us
