Yes – you are right. That is shocking and disgusting. Who wants to see a broker that, by being willing to sell shares for thei customers, while censoring and prohibiting buying of shares like HMGP, is doing it's level best to fix the price, by applying that downward pressure.
You might consider ChoiceTrade, which has no problem with HMGP and, unlike TDA, has no lists of forbidden shares. With commissions at $5, no hidden charges and good service, I am one satisfied customer.
I am still a customer of TDA, but will be leaving them because of their restrictions on the free trading of shares. That is just intolerable. Their relationship with NITE is far too cosy and is probably the reason behind their behavior.
