Agent how many times will you post the same thing....

Again Catapillar engines lost a customer on that no muffler technology because of many problems...especially that you have a filter for a muffler that robs fuel economy as it clogs, performance and reliability due to increased engine temps.....Plus it costs $1800 to replace, frequently, This was a step backwards for catapillar !

Cummings which replaced the cat engines in all the Damon Diesel high end lines uses a muffler. Cummings is going the emissions route with new technology and has opted to pay the fines on 60k engines rather than suffer from reliability issues that Catapillar is seeing !

Cat used to be very reliable before the new muffler fiasco !

Good find Agent .... Freightliner with its new EGR system will no longer NEED mufflers.

I understand all of the big engine manufacturers are going to Exhaust Gas Recirculation. Except for Cat that is.

Agent,, that filter doesn't work and you know it! That's why CATs orders are down, and we are buying from Japan,, It's a wide open market place, and I HOPE Aero&DG jump on it, JMHO
