I can imagine there are a few here too. When people are bent on averaging down with everything they have in a stock they truly believe in and it goes down 95%, they've probably lost way more than they ever imagined they would.

It all comes down to averaging down. If Mr. Rivera can keep the excitement mill churning and shareholders continue to use past prices as a reference to determine that cheaper stock is always a good deal, he can keep a steady demand for his three billion plus shares which he has on the store shelves. It doesn't matter to Mr. Rivera if the price drops, he just has to keep shareholders willing to buy at some price to maximize his inflow of cash.
