choad, even talking on the phone is more dangerous while driving than reading a newspaper, IMO. At least reading the newspaper you look up every once in a while. While driving you can become totally unaware of what's going on if you're deep into a conversation.

Texting, I agree, that's just plain dumb when you're driving.

On another topic, I see now when you have 2-people killed in a car accident it makes national news. It used to be 35-years ago you'd have kids stacked like cordwood in station wagons and have accidents that killed 7 or 8 people over the holdiday weekends, and that would only make the state-wide news.

It's just shows how really really hard to get killed driving a car today with all the safety stuff.

Believe it or not, while driving to the salt mines several weeks ago, I witnessed what my eyes would/could not believe. Two lanes of traffic exiting a freeway merging onto another at freeway speeds, there is a car that can't make up it's mind right at the intersection of the merge, driving 15 mph under the speed limit and the occupant appeared drunk based on the erratic driving. I was driving too fast and had to make use of all my car's braking ability. When I finally decided to try to get around this person, I looked over and was shocked to see driver with one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding a hard copy book opened with their eyes focused directly on it, just to the top right of the steering wheel.

This was just another reminder for me to keep my foot of the gas and drive even more defensively!

Roxmark completes acquisition of three properties along strike from Northern Empire Gold Mine

TORONTO, Nov. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - Roxmark Mines Limited (RMK.V - RMKMF) (CNQ - RMKL) announces that it has issued an aggregate of 115,940 shares in satisfaction of payments due under three option agreements (the "Agreements") to acquire the Amedé Properties totalling $26,666.67. The securities issued are subject to a hold period expiring on March 7, 2008. The Agreements were previously announced in the Company's July 12, 2007 news release.

The Agreements have a term of four years and will require additional aggregate payments at Roxmark's option of $60,000 by July 8, 2008 and $180,000 during the period between the second and fourth anniversaries of the Agreements.

An exploration surface program is being carried out simultaneously on two properties by Roxmark crew under the supervision of Peter Bevan, Consulting Geologist. Work includes stripping, trenching, sampling and geological mapping of these gold-bearing structures.

Historically, the Northern Empire Mine produced 149,053 ounces of gold from 425,866 tons with a recovery of 0.35 oz. in gold per ton. The mine was serviced by a shaft to 2,460 feet with development above and below a major flat diabase sill. Existing infrastructure on the property, including an upgraded and fully permitted 200 tpd mill (expandable to 500 tpd), as well as the mine's non-remote location, will reduce the cost of future development.
