For example, if you were to call me a liar when I said I was long in XXXX stock, how do I refute that other than by sending you my brokerage statement? And there are other charges it's impossible to disprove.

Good point and unfortunately very true. The problem in your example case steamed from the person making statements about you instead of the stock or stock related material. I believe that's the key.

NW,

Sometimes it's pretty hard to refute being called a liar. For example, if you were to call me a liar when I said I was long in XXXX stock, how do I refute that other than by sending you my brokerage statement? And there are other charges it's impossible to disprove. So that doesn't always work.

If someone were to call you a liar and not be able to prove it, why would it hurt your feelings?

Unless you lied?

You could prove you were long any stock without divulging the amount of shares by posting a copy of the confirmation ticket and blocking out the number of shares.

I have been called a liar when I posted something and I knew I was not lying. I simply said, You have made an allegation, now prove it.

I believe anyone that calls someone a liar needs to back it up with fact. Links, whatever, but facts. Otherwise, they are the idiots.

Have fun,
Phil
