RE: jd, AJ: North Carolinians.
Not a native of NC, but lived here long enough to appreciate the state. We had our first frost the other day, but did not seem to slow down my green peppers or tomato plants that are STILL putting out fruit. Tree still have their leaves, but they are finally starting to change. Give it a couple of weeks, and the mountains here will be beautiful.
Global warming: Isn't there evidence that the planet has warmed up in the past, and then cooled down? And how can we make an educated conclusion about man's interference in a warming cycle if we have only one data point? In other words, man was not around in the last warming cycle, so how do we know we have affected the warming cycle this time?
Not trying to start a shouting match here; just thinking out loud.
