>>The excess tends to detract from the message and raise the question of ulterior motive.<<

Exactly. And this is where Sara is misunderstanding me. Mary can be an asset to the site if she would simply focus on the message itself, dump the personal attacks, and not be so dang annoying when people flat just don't accept her view. Right now, she's the most heavily deleted and most popular in my TOS box. I'm hoping a little jail time will allow her to do some Yoga to explore her strengths, and elimate her weaknesses, so I can claim her on my iHub balance sheet in the near future.

Sara, is without a doubt, an asset to the site. If she and Mary didn't constantly have to hound eachother, I think she'd really enjoy the Hub.

I want to watch the situation, because I also see a lot of the same stuff coming from the other side of the coin. Which is not cool and will be changed.

We tried the site without Joemoney for a while (he has posting privledges back, just as a free member, for now). So let's see if the world stop turning without Mary for a while.

KOIKAZE,

re: She (sarals) has done a lot of work and I think its unfortunate that she has seen fit to withdraw

I agree 100%. Sara is a valued "assistant manager" on the Intel board and would be sorely missed, should she withdraw.

I have personally refrained from getting in the middle of any of the long standing personality clashes between folks here at iHub, and have no intention of doing so now. My comments do not apply to any clashes, pro or con. I only post this from my own selfish perspective. If Sara were to leave, it would be to the detriment of the Intel board.

A way of life at Intel, from which I retired, is the tenant of constructive confrontation. The rules are simple. You can attack any premise or position, but you can never attack the person themselves. A key part of constructive confrontation is the option to "agree to disagree" when a stalemate is reached. This allows both individuals to save face but, more importantly, move on to more productive pursuits. It works like a charm! I wish more folks could give it a try.

Kind regards,

greg

Well Said Fred... I've never ignored anyone and doubt I ever will. There are usually little gems buried in all posts, however, I do agree that posts presented with an excess of intensity and persistence just makes me fly to the next post.

You and Bob are doing a wonderful job creating an important investment site. I know you get lots of compliments, but I'd be more impressed if all posters showed their appreciation by the manner and tone of their messages.

I see you got 4 replies to that. I'd about bet all of them are strong agreements with you. Make that 5.

We're moving to the big time (or trying to) and the conduct of those present will set the tone for how the site is viewed in the future, and to a huge extent, determine its success or failure.
