"BUT, MY POINT was WHY a non-shareholder does soooo much posting and may selectively pick and choose"
If I can understand the question I generally answer it. If I can't understand, such as the "Delta" question I ask for clarification before responding, which, in that case didn't come so I posted an answer, qualifying my understanding of "Delta" to clear up the possibility of further confusion.
"which questions to respond to or ignore, which questions to respond to with BS, which questions to respond to with substance, which questions to respond to with some facts, which questions to respond to with a statement like I will get back to you on that/more details needed/restate the question/ETC -GET THE POINT"
It's called "discretion".
"The default position appears to be the low point. I think Spunkyknight used "60-70ish", and a response was 60. I think the # is somewhere between 57-71, but I am not an EXPERT."
The default position is by no means always the "low point". I show you how to do the calculations, show you the basis for the assumptions employed therein, etc.
"I remember it was $25 then $40, then the $25 was changed to $30 - about nine days later. All of that was with oil @$70/B, and the # is still $40 with oil at $86/B.
If the price of something that is used to place a value on something increases more than 20%, would you not expect the value to increase? Maybe the # is now $50/BOPM!!!"
You are CORRECT. As I have posted on numerous occasions earlier the valuation metric changes with the price of oil OVER TIME. If you don't like the metric (I usually post in terms of "the last number I had") then that's why I gave you the contact info for Carl David who is an active buyer in the field and who could give you the most current info. Since I am not a buyer of production it's not something I keep up with on a daily basis except to check every quarter or so.
"I KNOW FOR A FACT, two instances at least, of incorrect info/response and/or change in #s. I do not know much about the oil business, but I do know a lot about people, business and technology."
So, just show me what I have posted and if incorrect, I will post a correction and thank you for your trouble.
"If you have the $s, you can buy oil expertise, plus I can call a number of people that possess vast amounts of knowledge in/of the oil business, not oil EXPERTS, if there is such a thing, because usually "an expert =s ZERO""
OK
"I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLIIIIIEEEEEEEE have a hard time with the quote: below
""WHY ARE YOU SOOOOO INTERESTED IN A $.04/pps stock that you do NOT OWN, as per you?:"
""It's a Neighborhood Watch kind of thing."" END QUOTE!"
Do this. Go to Oil City and take the temperature of the neighborhood, producers, vendors, etc.. Let us know what you find out.
