Well, taxing authorities generally trump other lienholders on real property (I am not an attorney, but I know it works this way in California). However, in California, you have to default on your property taxes for 5 consecutive years I believe it is, then your property is subject to seizure and the mortgage holder get aced out.

So another lienholder, e.g. a mortgage lender, may pay the taxes to protect their position on the property. You really need title information or lienholder info to try to figure out who is paying, or might pay the taxes in the event that CalBay does not pay them. If this property is being litigated I guess it is possible there is some other lien filed on it, I do not know how things work in Nevada.

But all of those properties on that list have had the taxes paid - are they ALL involved in the current litigation?
