plfm, new Verizon touchscreen is from LG...

so IDCC is deriving revenue (through the LG fixed rate license). Verizon took a full page ad today in the WSJ to show off its new offerings of 2 LG phones (including the touchscreen iPhone competitor), as well as a stick music phone by Samsung and a CDMA Blackberry Pearl.
