I would definitely countersue both lawfirms. I wrote to a lawyer friend in Philly for info on one of the lawfirms and this is what he wrote back:

"it's a new york firm . some people believe these types of actions are akin to securities ambulance chasing."

I wrote back asking for the name of a firm that would countersue. I will check with a friend in SF also.
