Cosign, I think it would take a while for Dell (a least a few qtrs or more) for Dell to gain on HP strictly based on FDE. This is largely because there on not yet huge volumes of FDE shipping.
However, the publicity that Dell gets as having the most secure laptops could change HP's position. This, along with perhaps HP either losing a few key accounts to Dell and/or HP enterprises asking for an HP/FDE solution could sway HP to move toward a FDC hardrive solution before losing market share to Dell. HP may be slow to adopt FDE, but they are probably not stupid. If the demand is there, as evidenced from wins by Dell, I'm sure HP would jump on board.
I'm sure Seagate is also pushing hard. So far they have Dell, Lenovo and ASI. They would like to add to the list.
