I in no way think doctors don't deserve their pay, but in those years "low-paid" work aren't they earning at least 2x the average american family (or teacher for that matter)? correct me if I'm wrong...
The pathway in banking used to be less rewarding - as I can attest. Two years of 70-100 hour weeks and pay at ONLY 2-3X the NYC median used to be required in banking - no longer (on both fronts).
