DAC=digital to analog converter.

I want to build one to use as 2- channel audio.

I would connect a DVD player to this DAC.

The sound card I'm looking at is a Mad Dog Entertainer 7.1. It's 24-bit and will process 192khz, a big plus. And it's only $50.

I have an e-mail I sent to them to see if there card re-clocks the digital signal. I need really LOW jitter. If the card doesn't do this, I'll buy a "black box" to do the re-clocking.
But, I don't want to spend the money on the "re-clocker" if I don't need to.

Want about the power suppy being "outboard", any suggestions?
