It all depends on the stock. To make it easier, for this stock, I highly doubt MM hold any inventory as there are only 6 million shares floating. The way I see this trade is strictly based on retail and it is less prone to manipulation.

If you want to see manipulation and games, see SWVC, lol.

But, yes your assessment is right for certain stocks, but not always the case.
