"I think the strat is dead" - based on what evidence and what DD? Links and sources, please.

You know, nightowl, I'm not sure I believe you.

Crazy like a fox, or maybe wise like an owl: you keep going on about the Mexican JV as if that's the only game in town - you think it's a disaster or maybe a disaster, and if it's a disaster, watch out, blah, blah, all the while you admit buying shares . . . why pray tell, if the strat is dead?

The Strat project being 'dead', as you put it, wouldn't make any sense -- in consideration of a teaming agreement with an awarded Israeli contractor.

If anything -- the Mexican JV is seeing challenges due to the in-fighting amongst Uli, Joe, Mr. G. and the current management of the project. But, it's obviously not dead 'yet'.

It would make sense that Joe is disgruntled in various ways, and he's seeking to get his switch equipment back. Just like Uli is attempting to get his equipment back for Trimax.

It's not that far from logic when you see that people are basically egotistical and clammering for attention. It's common.

If anything -- and I'm beginning to truly believe this now -- the entire reason why many of the initiatives of this company have 'failed', is because all the players had a distinct attitude problem, and everyone seemed to think they knew how to run the show. The problem with that is -- there's no I in Team.

The letter itself, if it's authentic anyway -- really does point me to this with grace. Joe M. comes across like the meglomaniac in the team -- who they probably finally got 'sick of hearing it' and decided it was best for them to part ways with Joe. Of course, in the course of that kind of thinking, Joe is still under the dellusion that he could have done so much better than the people running the show.

Like I said. It's common.

Get a room full of people, or even a company full of people -- who are strong characters and passionate in their beliefs [aka: major egos], and with no ability to compromise as a team -- and what you spell out is the ultimate chaos in any organization.

People within an organization see that coming a mile away. And chances are, you'll lose your most brilliant of the team-players, because they see it coming and understand where it'll lead. Take Bob, for instance. Take Tim, for instance. You get enough of that crossing your plate everyday -- and sooner or later you come to a realization that those people either need to go, or it's you that has to go.
