Hummm, thank's KingOil, so someone says 2 senators involved and all tests better than expected, and now a month later we have fuel being transported across state lines. How very interesting.

Thank you, king oil. What I missed in that post and what I have been beaten up for saying forever is laid right out by Ron (GeoBioFuels):

Exactly right. All the ASTM talk about meeting and exceding whatever ASTM standards is bushwah. What has to happen is a new, from scratch fuel category with it's own ASTM standard be created. That means really heavy analysis, thousands and thousands of hours of in engine testing. Add emission testing to beat all emission testing. Then figure on changes and alterations

Probably an engine manufacturer or six would have to either partner or provide engines and/or facilities. Maybe a fleet operator (UPS?) JVing. I've heard that the process could take five to eight years but that could be less now that the country has wakened a bit.

Even revolutions aren't over 'til the paperwork is done.
