Elmer - Why should they recall them all? It's just a matter of reapplying the BIOS, not a flaw in the chip itself.

the problem with the cards was due to an error in the
BIOS application process


the problem can be easily solved by reapplying the BIOS

Radeon HD 2400 and 2600 chips are throughly inspected
before being shipped to graphics card makers


It's not clear it is a fault with the graphics chip as it
indicates that there was a faulty BIOS applied by the board
manufacturers and there is a fix available. So is it AMD's
fault that the manufacturers can't program the BIOS correctly
and why would it be AMD's responsibility to reprogram an OEM
manufacturer's card? Afterall AMD doesn't make the card, a
third party does.
