LOLOL. I racked my brain trying to decide if there was some hormonal thing that female cats leave around that drives off rats and gophers. Leave it to you to come up with something totally practical, like "because male cats spray all over everything." lol
.. if you make a mixture of white vinegar .. + water .. & spray around outside .. oh .. maybe less than 1/2 and 1/2 .. more water than the white vinegar ...

female cats will spray ... I've watched it .. spayed female cats ... 'one of my own' ..I have one now that 'will' , had another one that went through a period of doing that ..
She had gone through an emotional time , lost her previous owner .. I inherited .. and .. well... even inside she did it ..tried everything ... then
some Genius told me the vinegar trick .. that did it .. The End.
