Spin, I'm not sure if you're intentionally trying to take what I say out of context of if I'm not wording what I say very well.
There's certainly nothing wrong with keeping shareholders well-informed. In fact, companies should make every reasonable effort to do so. However, campaigns just to raise awareness of the stock to get new investors to buy aren't very valuable. Shareholders as a whole don't benefit from that. Shareholders as a whole benefit from improved operations.
