#79410 RE: knowlesmsncom #79387

knowlesmsncom: I'm not going to get into following up on most of your answers, but I will ask you how you interpret this section from the Plant/Lane indictment:

13.Subsequent to DHS’s October 11, 2006 letter, PLANT revised CyberKey’s previously-released press releases by replacing “Department of Homeland Security”with more general descriptions, such as “Federal Government Agency” or “the Federal Government.” The revised press releases continued to maintain, however, that CyberKey had a $24.5 million purchase order, although they now stated that the purchase order was with an unnamed large federal agency.

The last sentence appears to me to indicate strongly that the government believes that no 24.5M purchase order existed at all. It is particularly noteworthy since if the issue was solely about the contract existing, but not with DHS, the first sentence covers Plant's response to the DHS letter.

But I'm sure you'll be able to come up with an explanation as to why it is included in this paragraph of the indictment.

There is one followup regarding Plant's audited financial claims. You are aware that according to the SEC charges filed against Plant, the SEC clearly states that as of March 14, 2007, nobody had yet been hired to do any audited financials. Yet Plant had been claiming that they were in progress, would be done soon, and even that 2006 and 2005 were already done.

knowlesmsncom: I'm afraid you'll have to give me a better clue as to who you believe the 3rd party to be because it is pretty clear it isn't Leading Lights or Kihomac or Kikomac.

I went to the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) where you can find out information about 12 million federal contracts - all contracts worth 2500.00 and up.

https://www.fpds.gov/

You have sign up but it is free. And it is impossible to search for specific products. But you can search for vendors:

Register and logon.
When the reports page appears, click Advanced Search.
Click the ... button on the right side of the Vendor text box.
Type in any sequence of letters you want in the Vendor Name field near the bottom of the form that appears and click Search.

Any company that has anything to do with any one of the contracts in this FPDS db, and that starts with the letters you provide, will be listed.

Interesting to note: Kihomac and kikomac are not listed as vendors in the db. Neither is Leading Lights.

I also went to the Federal Business Opportunity db where active and archived contracts can be accessed by single words, and does not require registration.

www.fbo.gov

Clicked on the Go button besides Advanced Search in upper left corner.
Used USB as the Full Text Search term.
Selected to search both Active and Archived entries.
Did not limit the date or type of entries to be searched.
Clicked search and 93 pages of entries came up back to 1998.
At the bottom of page 1, I typed in kihomac to refine the search to the entries that had mention kihomac - no entries.
Leading Lights came up with 1 page of entries, none of which had anything to do with USB flash drives.

Then I tried www.gsaadvantage:

Searched for kihomac and then kikomac, no results for either.
Seached for Leading Lights and found 3000 plus hits that had leading and lights somewhere in the gsa entry. Filtered that list using USB, and came up with 43 hits. Couldn't find one that had anything to do with leading lights, or USB flash drives.

Will try to find the government db where even CyberKey is registered later.

knowlesmsncom: Had to redo the search for Kihomac because it has another name, KI HO MILITARY ACQUISITION CONSULTING, discovered when searching the goverments Cage Code db.

It does show up as this name in the FPDS db. So far, though, a search of Awards shows no contracts listed for this company during 2005, only one during 2006 for administrative support services. There were no indefinate delivery vehicle type contracts signed in 2005 or 2006.

Still no results for any FBO db search.

A search of gsaadvantage starting with Ki Ho results in a few entries that start with Ki or Ho. Refining the search by military comes up with 2 hits, none of which have anything to due with USB anything.

KI HO MILITARY ACQUISITION CONSULTING INCORPORATED is in the Cage Code db; Leading Lights is not in that db.
