not true, two things happened in USG's case, they had to distribute a huge sum of money to permanently settle their asbestos liabilities and then we had the downturn in all of US housing and building materials sectors.
the point I was trying to illustrate was that you can raise money AND promote shareholder loyalty if you do the right things. Generally I think rights offerings accomplish that.
