agreed, that's why I thought 1.25 units by a two man crew was probably on the conservative side, as far as not overestimating their productivity. But it's a WAG, no doubt about it. I was trying to get an order of magnitude. It could still be double or half as much, but maybe not 10 times as much. (maybe)

Here is breakdown of a typical UMTS Basestation Installation - i.e the Basestation + Sectorised Antenna System. Figures quoted are 'man hours'. This is 'generic' for a 3rd generation UMTS basestation. Hotzone installs will likely be simpler in terms of the Transceiver units themselves, but the antennas should be about right. Excludes 'civil steelworks' - i.e Installation of Poles, Plinths for mounting kit

Node B Installation & Commissioning
Travelling to/from site & waiting time 6.00
Toilet breaks/stoppages 1.00
Install radio cabinets 3.00
Install grounding cables & connections 2.00
Install Transmission cables 1.00
Install Batteries & Test (4 pieces) 2.00
Jumper 1 to 3 sectors cables -
Power up & record hardware verification test 1.00
Preparation for Integration
Overhead time
Travelling to/from site & waiting time 3.00
Toilet breaks/stoppages 0.50
Site Preparation
Load RBS specific script 0.50
Onsite Work
"Call/wait for Netowrk Ops to verify RNC ready,
verify transmission connection (at NodeB DDF)" 1.00
Power up & set Alarms unit using GCU 1.00
Load script in RBS & verify LEDs and local Cell 1.00
On site additional tests 0.50

Antenna System Installation - per sector
Travelling to/from site & waiting time 6.00
Toilet breaks/stoppages 1.00
Installation
"1. Install and align complete antenna system
1 sector (excludes main feeders), Label, seal inlets " 4.00
2. Test 1 sector - Perform sweep test and log results 1.00
Task Man/Hours (incl travelling time) 12.00

Draw your own conclusions for GTEM! Source = my own experience working within Mobile Industry, when working on a bid. This was fixed price per basestation, so obviously average travelling time neededto be factored in etc
