The visuals ( and that's all that they were ) in that demonstration are lame. If that's what they hope to use to attract investors, they could have done a much better job.
A gas scrubber in a locker, the FT ( w/ proprietary catalyst ) was nothing more than a bunch of copper tubing soldered together. While I have never seen the engineering designs for the actual process, I have to believe they are much more sophisticated.
The camera held up to a hole purportedly to have been a port in the ( vacuum )chamber plasma unit showed an asymmetrical representation of the plasma arc. Based on what I have been told the plasma arc has to be symmetrical - usually ring shaped so feed stock can fall through it.
In my opinion, that demo only serves to hurt their cause.
