I think the problem is the same as what causes many to lose money in the market. They hit a bad streak and sell, thus locking in their losses. That is the fallacy of Stops and why in the long run they will cost you money, because once triggered, even though you are out and "safe", you then have to figure out when to get back in, often after missing a good part of the recovery. Those who use Stops are quick to pat themselves on the back for "preserving capital" when the market does go lower, but they remain mute on how much potential gain they missed by being out.

Wow, since you guys posted a series of posts from June 6-8, the Merlin system has been flat.
