This is the number of freely traded shares in the hands of the public. Float is calculated as Shares Outstanding minus Shares Owned by Insiders, 5% Owners, and Rule 144 Shares.”

Less:
Insider holdings.........................................2.06
5% owners (Goldman & Heartland)........7.57

Float..........................................................37.26 million


Did you notice also that on yahoo finance IDCC 47 million outstanding shares AND 43 million in float..
