Very encouraging. Thanks. Do you think wave played a role somehow in MS' NAP internal rollout? RGDS:

Time for your NAP (follow-up /corrections)

I wanted to follow-up on Adam's great post from last week on NAP's roll-out here within Microsoft. He stated:

That actually seemed like a low number to me, and MSIT assures me that it's a reporting error, so I'll update that figure when I get a corrected one.

This was in regards to the 30,000 machines in Redmond operating at 70% "NAP Compliant - healthy". It turns out that this "reporting error" was really and "admin error", which has been identified / rectified. The actual compliance rates are now consistently above 80% for Redmond. The deployment has spread beyond Redmond into North America by 10,000 new clients. AWESOME.

SL, very encouraging!

Remember, Microsoft is not in the TSS business, and TPM-interoperability would not come from that layer of the software...so, what exactly are Microsoft and Wave working on? CSP development? Licensing?

I am repeating myself, but from what I gathered from both Brian Berger and SKS @ Interop last week, whatever exactly has been accomplished in collaboration w/ MSFT seems no small feat. Perhaps the collaboration pre-dates 2006 Interop.

Q:
I have a large enterprise interested in deploying NAP/IPsec and they would like health certs to have the private key protected by the TPM. Is that possible today or being planned ?

SL............from a blog.

"Wave Systems announced and showed a demo of a new version of their Embassy Trust Suite that they are working on that includes a NAP System Health Agent (SHA) and a System Health Validator (SHV), this new SHA/SHV promises to provide a way for NAP customers to check the pre-boot integrity of a Windows box helping mitigated the risks of lying hosts"
