The onus has already been on them, why would this change anything? It certainly wouldn't legally. This case isn't going to "prove" anything, except that everyone bought their shares through brokers, which could have been easily proven without suing the shareholders. They could have sued the brokers and gotten their records instead, but congratualtions, they sued you instead.
