I am fortunate to be well away from the area that was hit. The poor people in Greensburg received a double whammy from the storms. First their whole town was destroyed by a tornado estimated to have been 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 miles wide. Then that evening they had to endure a second wave of multiple tornados heading toward the surrounding communities they had been evacuated to. Yesterday afternoon/evening was another dose of multiple tornados, but I believe those were mostly in another area a little to the east. A Wichita TV station reported last night that in two days the Weather Service had issued 160+ severe storm warnings, tornado watches and tornado warnings. They could hardly keep up.
