METHINKS you are 'blaming the victim' here....it is up to whoever it was that emailed GLL to take responsibility for his actions.....after all, he made the decision to do what he did...lack of self control? going off the deep end? He sure didn;t sound sane and stable to me...
What you are asking is that a person should NOT 'be themselves' for fear that others, who are too weak thru a lack of self esteem, or self control, will not be able to accept the other, without hurting themselves in the process.
Even Jesus taught that one should never hide their light---meaning--I am SURE you know---one should be who they ARE...not what someone else defines FOR them, or insists that they "SHOULD' be.
Just thought I would share my opinion, as you did....and adding to my opinion, I wish to say, yours opens many doors for rebuttal.....
