to da moon, ""There are winners in every war""
I would submit that the "winners" of WWI sowed the seed for WWII. What was the death toll experienced by the "winners" of WWI? What was their experience a few short years later?

""Many times misinformation occurs but not purposely. It creates to some people such as yourself a feeling you are being fed a line.""
Gulf of Tonkin ring a bell? The USS Maine? Lusitania?

I have argued over and over with brainlessone about going around the world killing folks in the perception that it is OK for the greater good. It is not.
Ever hear of the US pineapple company in the Phillipines that in the process of building a huge plantation hired "expeditors" to acquire property? The poor peasants who refused to sell their miserable few acres were murdered. Nothing was ever done about this. A wrong is a wrong, 1 or 100,000 dead is still an atrocity for the one family who loses a loved one. We put Saddam in power, plain, pure and simple. The Wahabbis have spent less than 100 billion in the last 30 years on their version of the "Peace Corps". This has yielded to them a devoted following. The wealth we have spent during the same period makes this sum a pittance. What do we have to show for this vast expense? Hate. Sad.
