Jim,

A war against terrorists can never be unjust. However, there are some people (Quakers for example) who are just anti-war regardless. There are winners in every war and Saddam is an example of a loser.
Having had a career in government I must say there are always bits of information which gets twisted for some reason and then the liberals and anti-government sorts seem to enjoy the nit picking .
Most corporations have one spokesman who issues a very limited amount of news. The government has many spokespersons
for many departments of the government. Those spokespersons are in news conferences sometimes daily. Many times misinformation occurs but not purposely. It creates to some people such as yourself a feeling you are being fed a line.
I do feel that the intent by the government today is not to mislead the general public.
