julesg, you may be confusing the issue.

Using FDE increases performance by as much as 35%, since users are no longer encrypting in the OS, which greatly reduces speed.

If you think the market is going to demand greater speed over security, I think you are mistaken by a large margin.

With SanDisk in the TCG, I am sure Wave is talking to them, as they are probably talking to all in the group that will forward the standard.
