YB, I can beleive that TA will not tell which direction the stock will go.

TA will help to find the support level, where the stock will stop falling

That's something of a contradiction, actually.

yourbankruptcy, I agree. TA can help you decide on good entry and exit points, and can warn you things get out of whack, but TA can not pick stocks for you. I think most successful stock traders combine TA with fundamentals research.

At least, that's what I try to do. I think that AMD is a fundmentally strong company because of its product portfolio and growth potential. Still, studying price trends using a surface application of TA warned me that I should not be holding shares long at this time, so I don't.
