Looks like you don't have much to worry about with Prescott :)

Recall that one year ago the rumor was about Opteron parts being supplied for software development that were clocked at 800MHz.

Had nothing to do with the actual released product, other than the instruction set.

I do not find significance in the fact that Intel is underclocking the Prescotts they manufactured earlier this year for testing or development that is not related to clock rate. The fact that Prescott is delayed, believed to be for heat reasons, makes the existance of underclocked chips unavoidable. Says nothing about what they will release when the problems are fixed.

However, the Intellibees did a lot of razzing then, so I guess turnaround is fair play (even if inaccurate).

Note: Please don't think I'm trying to dump on you because we are taking different positions on a few topics today. I am just trying to get to the truth with Prescott, and not make a fundamental mistake. :)
