sgolds, there's a bit of a difference in time frames between the Opteron and Prescott situations w.r.t. current sample clock vs. time-to-launch.

There was also much more information in the full article, regarding the Feb 2 ship date chances of being delayed, troubles with Xeons at 3.4 GHz, etc.

sgolds, dougSF30 - the clock speed of Prescott is not what is the main concern, I think the power consumption is the real issue.
