LOL. Some of them can be really awful. The public adores them, and thinks because they have beautiful voices they must be wonderful people. Boy, they wouldn't want to work with some of them, I promise you. And that goes for a few of the tenors as well. But some of them are wonderful. Caballe is a sweetheart. So is Beverly Sills.
By far the worst I ever worked with was Kathleen Battle. She was so awful that we made up a teeshirt which read, "I survived the Battle". A few months later she was fired from the Met, ending her opera career.
